ArmInfo. More than half of respondents in Armenia believe that Armenia will join the European Union in the next ten years. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the consulting company MPG.
Thus, according to the survey, 51% of respondents believe that Armenia will join the European Union in the next ten years, 40% do not believe, and another 9% found it difficult to answer.
At the same time, when asked how they feel about the draft law on European integration, approved by the Armenian government on January 9, 23% of respondents answered that they are completely positive, 31.9% - rather positive, 12% - rather negative, 19.3% - completely negative, and another 13.8% found it difficult to answer this question.
When asked to express their attitude towards the Charter on Strategic Partnership with the United States signed by Armenia on January 14, 27.2% of respondents answered completely positively, 34.5% - rather positively, 13.1% - rather negatively and 10.9% - completely negatively, another 14.3% found it difficult to answer this question.
When asked how the process of European integration and the signing of the Charter on Strategic Partnership with the United States will affect Armenia, 24.2% of respondents answered that this will create additional risks for the Republic, 10% - will create additional economic risks, 18.6% - will create new economic opportunities, 27% - expressed confidence that this will increase the country's security.
According to the survey, another 18.5% found it difficult to answer this question, and another 1.7% gave a different answer.
The survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of the Republic of Armenia from January 20 to 22 of this year, the sample size was 1,100, the sampling error is +/- 3%.
