ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, met with representatives of the Armenian Diaspora in Switzerland. He shared a video of the meeting on his Facebook page.
In particular, Pashinyan mentioned that during the discussions some topics relate to security and foreign policy were brought up, but he chose not to disclose them. The Prime Minister explained that he had openly discussed these topics with his compatriots from Switzerland.
It should be noted that the meeting between the representatives of the Diaspora and Pashinyan was conducted in the format of an open discussion with questions and answers. Participants talked about the concept of <national and state interests>, the differences between them, the concepts of <nation> and <people>, real Armenia, the role of the Diaspora, and the preservation of Armenian identity. In this regard, Pashinyan emphasized that Armenian identity can be preserved to the extent that the Diaspora associates itself with the internationally recognized Republic of Armenia <If, for example, we continue to associate ourselves with Mush, it will be impossible to preserve our identity, because it is not generated in Mush, but in the Republic of Armenia. Therefore, we must concentrate on the interests of the state - and therefore the development of statehood and the economy. Otherwise we will completely lose our identity both in the Diaspora and in Armenia. Our identity must be associated with Armenia,> the Prime Minister said.
It should be noted that the meeting with the Armenian diaspora in Switzerland was part of the Prime Minister's working visit to Davos for the World Economic Forum.
