ArmInfo. Member of the European Parliament Nathalie Loiseau urges the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas not to overlook the pressure that Turkey is currently exerting on Armenia, and to stand firm in her position.
She made this plea on her Twitter account (X) in response to Kallas' post stating that she was in Ankara.
"Glad to be in Ankara today. Turkey is a strategic partner of the EU, and there are good opportunities to deepen our cooperation. I look forward to meaningful discussions with political leaders and civil society to strengthen our ties," Kaja Kallas wrote. In response to this, Loiseau wrote: "Kaya Kallas, it is useful to talk to Ankara. It is your duty to stand firm about EU priorities: occupation of Cyprus North, tensions with Greece, attacks against civilians in Syria, endangering the fight against ISIS, pressures on Armenia. Please stand firm."
