ArmInfo.Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not discuss the issue of unfreezing the republic's participation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) during their recent telephone conversation, as stated by Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov to journalists.
"No, this topic was not discussed during the last telephone conversation between the President and the Prime Minister," Peskov noted, TASS reports. The last telephone conversation between Putin and Pashinyan took place on January 17. "The CSTO is an independent, mature organization that has proven its effectiveness and relevance. Work continues there. So far, Armenia has not announced its intention to withdraw from this organization," Peskov added.
