ArmInfo. All solutions proposed by the Armenian authorities in foreign and domestic policy are based on concept of " Real Armenia". This was stated by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the government hour in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on January 22, in response to a question from Shirak Torosyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ruling Civil Contract faction.
The MP raised the issue of expectations regarding state security, which are linked to the diversification policy that has been implemented. He mentioned the concluded Armenian-American Charter on Strategic Partnership, a recent telephone conversation between the leaders of Armenia and Russia, the visit of the head of the RA MFA to Moscow, and the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister to Davos. The MP posed the question of what results this balanced policy will ultimately yield.
In response, Nikol Pashinyan noted that the adoption of the concept of real Armenia is a very important feature, as stated in his New Year's address. In this context, a balanced foreign policy means that Yerevan's relations with the outside world cannot develop at the expense of some to the detriment of others. On the other hand, given the mutual influence of these relations, it is very important to establish a balance, which should be one of the tools to ensure Armenia's security. And this, as the Prime Minister noted, should be based on the legitimacy of the Republic and the concept of "Real Armenia". "Today we are on the right path of development. The path we have already taken is a journey to real Armenia. All the reforms that the government is implementing serve as evidence of this path. We must move away from Vahan Teryan's "Country of Nairi" narrative and follow the path of Real Armenia," the head of government said.
