ArmInfo. The defense team for former Artsakh leaders has filed a petition with the Baku court requesting a change in the preventive measure for their clients to house arrest, as reported by Azerbaijani media. However, according to the information being circulated, former President of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan stated that neither he nor his lawyer had filed a petition for house arrest, nor did he have any complaints about his health.
Defendants Arkady Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, Melikset Pashayan, and David Allahverdyan requested that their petitions be granted and that they be released to house arrest. The other defendants left it to the court's discretion whether to grant the petition or not. The hearing was held in the Baku Military Court under the chairmanship of Judge Zeynal Agayev. It is reported that the next courts hearing will be held on January 27, and decisions on the petitions will be announced during that process.
