ArmInfo. The information bases of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture (MESC) and the Cadastre Committee concerning historical and cultural monuments will be integrated. The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia will discuss in the first reading the amendments to the laws "On state registration of property rights" and "On the protection and use of immovable historical and cultural monuments and the historical environment" at the plenary session on January 21.
As the Chairman of the Cadastre Committee Suren Tovmasyan noted in his speech, in order to register rights to historical and cultural monuments, it is necessary to collect all the information on-site by conducting measurement work, which is a rather costly process for the state. In addition, the presence of numerous problems in the Cadastre information base, including those related to the land fund, create obstacles to registering property rights. The package proposes to establish a provision according to which the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture and the Cadastre integrate both databases, which will allow the Ministry to make appropriate changes to the electronic systems, and the Cadastre to register property rights. Thus, as Tovmasyan noted, there will be no need to carry out appropriate measurement work on-site, and then enter a new process. This data will be automatically presented in the Cadastre Committee database, which will register property rights.
