<Yesterday, a historic event took place! By signing the Charter on Strategic Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken raised our relations to a STRATEGIC level>, Hunanyan noted.
He also drew attention to the fact that shortly after that, one of the experts stated in an interview that they had been working on this document for several months.
<I EMPHASIZE: The Armenia-USA Charter on Strategic Partnership became possible thanks to the efforts of the RA MFA and the US State Department, the RA and US state structures worked with each other and no other circles were involved in this process>, the diplomat emphasized.
In turn, the Ambassador of Armenia to the United States Lilit Makunts emphasized that Yerevan and Washington are opening a new chapter in bilateral relations. <The deepening of our relations in recent years has led to the fact that we officially became Strategic Partners. This is a truly historic event! Let's celebrate the beginning of strategic relations of a new quality>, - the diplomat said. And the US Embassy in Armenia is confident that the signing of the Charter by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on January 14 marked another milestone in bilateral relations.

To date, the United States has invested approximately $3.3 billion in Armenia to support democratic reforms, economic growth and resilience, and humanitarian assistance, including $340 million since 2021. Our partnership is based on our shared democratic values, and together, we are working to expand our economic, and security and defensecooperation; strengthen democracy, justice, and inclusion; and increase people-to-people exchanges, " the U.S. Embassy in Armenia emphasized.
