ArmInfo. The preliminary results of the primaries have been counted in Parakar, and former head of the community Ludwig Gyulnazaryan came in first place with 594 votes.
Earlier, on December 28, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the holding of primaries to elect the temporary head of Parakar, following the example of the elections in Gyumri. During the meeting of the board of the Civil Contract party, held on January 3, it was decided that candidates Arpine Arakelyan, Ludwig Gyulnazaryan, Karen Yeremyan, Mher Harutyunyan, Arman Mnatsakanyan and Gor Saribekyan would participate in the preliminary elections in the enlarged community of Parakar.
The former head of the Parakar community, representative of the Civil Contract Ludwig Gyulnazaryan resigned on November 18. He was forced to take this step after a scandal broke out: it turned out that the head of the Parakar community participated in a fatal shootout that took place on November 16 in Yerevan. Then, on Nazarbekyan Street, 42-year-old Artur Manukyan, who had arrived from France, was shot. According to Armenian media, Gyulnazaryan was at the scene and received a gunshot wound to the leg.
