ArmInfo.Bilateral relations between Armenia and Iran have a strong foundation and are based on natural interests. Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, stated this at a meeting with a delegation from the Iranian parliament led by Ara Shahverdyan, the head of the Iran-Armenia Friendship Group.
As reported by the press service of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, Grigoryan also highlighted the importance of taking steps to further develop bilateral relations. Shahverdyan, on the other hand, noted that there is a growing trend towards the advancement of bilateral relations. During the discussions, both parties emphasized the significance of the "Crossroads of Peace" project initiated by the Armenian government in terms of promoting peace and security in the South Caucasus.
