ArmInfo. Armenian expert Stepan Danielyan is skeptical about Armenia's prospects for European integration and the European security guarantees for the Republic. The expert noted that the newly elected US President Donald Trump is going to do with Greenland, Canada and Panama what Russian President Vladimir Putin is doing with Ukraine.
"As the saying goes, a fisherman sees a fisherman from afar. Let's set aside the issue that the EU not only refuses to challenge Trump to protect the territorial integrity of the European Union, but is seems willing to give in without a fight, to capitulate. Let's leave the answer to the question of how EU observers will protect the territorial integrity of Armenia to the initiators of the association process with the EU," the political scientist noted.
He also suggested examining the possible domestic political storms that the expected Trump-Putin agreement could trigger in the inter-political life of various countries. "In the EU countries, the processes of power change are already gaining momentum, the elites are changing. The same process will occur in Armenia once an agreement is reached in Ukraine. It will be an agreement to redistribute spheres of influence based on jungle rules. It is unclear how the representatives of the ruling force, Civil Contract, who lack political intuition, perceive the prospects of changing their status (close-up), but they will certainly need psychological help. Armenian psychologists, psychiatrists and psychoanalysts will soon experience an influx of clients and must prepare for the revival of the market in this area," Danielyan concluded.
