On January 9, Armen Grigoryan, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, received Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran. As reported by the office of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, Grigoryan welcomed Ahmadian's visit to Yerevan and emphasized the importance of high-level mutual visits to strengthen multi- sectoral relations between Armenia and Iran. Ahmadian, in response, acknowledged the solid foundation of bilateral relations that cannot be changed or undermined. During the meeting, the parties discussed regional processes and the potential for Armenian-Iranian cooperation. They expressed satisfaction with the progress of bilateral relations and discussed the implementation of the existing agreements and outlined new ways of cooperation. Economic relations and infrastructure development programs were also topics of discussion.
