ArmInfo. The US State Department declined to comment on the question of the Armenian service of the Voice of America regarding the possibility of signing a strategic partnership agreement between Yerevan and Washington.
The Armenian service of the Voice of America, in particular, inquired whether a meeting of official representatives of Armenia and the United States is planned in the near future to bring bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership and what documents will be signed between the parties in this regard? In response, the State Department reported that there is practically nothing to comment on the current situation.
Recall that at a press conference held yesterday in Yerevan, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan avoided a direct answer to a question about the information disseminated by the chairman of the pro- Western party "In the Name of the Republic" Arman Babajanyan.
"We have a strategic dialogue, which we have agreed to elevate to the level of a strategic partnership. Of course, there is a document or documents that are being discussed on this matter. I want to say that a meeting between officials representing the Republic of Armenia and officials representing the United States is being discussed and planned," Mirzoyan said.
