ArmInfo.Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has issued another round of threats against Armenia.
In an interview with local TV channels, he said that the so-called "Zangezur corridor" should and will be opened. "The sooner they understand this, the better," said the Azerbaijani President, adding that the Sorovites are losing their positions in the world, and official Yerevan should take this into account.
"We, Azerbaijan, are not a source of danger for them. We want peace and cooperation in the South Caucasus, and let them not interfere with us. They should not act as a geographical barrier between Turkey and Azerbaijan," said Aliyev.
He again raised the issue of the so-called "Western Azerbaijan". "It would be good if the Prime Minister of Armenia received representatives of the community of Western Azerbaijan. As far as I know, they are ready to go to Yerevan," Aliyev said, adding that the Azerbaijanis have every right to return. "Today, Armenia positions itself as a country following the path of European democracy.
Let it clearly show this," the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan said, emphasizing that "this issue will not be removed from the agenda until the Azerbaijanis are safely settled in Western Azerbaijan, including Western Zangezur."
At the same time, Aliyev did not say a word about the rights of return of the Baku Armenians.
Earlier, in a conversation with journalists, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan noted that the so-called "Zangezur corridor" is a "red line" for the Armenian authorities.
