ArmInfo. The right of Armenia and the Armenian people to defend their existence is possible in three cases: when countering threats from Turkiye, Azerbaijan and the ruling group in the country. Political scientist Varuzhan Geghamyan wrote about this on his Facebook account.
"Yesterday, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev once again called Armenia a fascist state and all of us fascists. Turkey also often calls Armenia fascist. However, this does not prevent the Turkish Ministry of Education from signing an agreement on broad cooperation in the field of education with the well-known fascist, nationalist organization "Grey Wolves" a few days ago. To have a good idea of what this means, it is enough to give the following visual comparison: if there is a need to write an encyclopedic article about modern fascism, one of the main examples will be the Turkish "Grey Wolves", one of the main targets of which are Armenians and Armenia," the political scientist noted, adding that the right of Armenia and the Armenian people to defend their existence is possible in three cases: countering threats from Turkey, Azerbaijan and the ruling group in the country.
The day before, in an interview with local TV channels, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called Armenia a "fascist state" and "a source of threat to the region."
He stated that fascism must be destroyed either by the Armenian leadership or by Azerbaijan.
Official Armenia has not yet commented on Aliyev's words.
