ARF rep defeats Yerevan Municipality in court 

ArmInfo. Former Yerevan Mayor and now Deputy Defense Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hrachya Sargsyan has finally lost the case in court against the representative of the Supreme Body of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun party, member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ishkhan  Saghatelyan. Lawyer Vaye Grigoryan wrote about this on his Facebook account. 

According to his post, regarding the rallies of the Resistance  movement organized by Saghatelyan in 2022, the then mayor of the capital filed 4 lawsuits - each for 300 thousand drams for holding rallies unauthorized by the mayor's office. In total, we are talking about 1.2 million drams.

The lawyer noted that last year the Administrative Court satisfied the defendant's claim in all 4 cases, rejecting 4 lawsuits of the Yerevan City Hall against Ishkhan Saghatelyan. "Having failed, the Yerevan Municipality appealed all 4 decisions to the Court of Cassation. I have just received the decision of the Court of Cassation, which rejected the appeal of the Yerevan Municipality. The decision comes into force from the moment of its adoption, is final and cannot be appealed. By the way, the Yerevan Municipality did not have the right to appeal to the Court of Appeal, this right belongs only to the Mayor of Yerevan," noted Vahe Grigoryan.
