ArmInfo. The technical specifications for the construction of the new Surmalu metro station have been revised. This was announced on December 23 at a working meeting at the Yerevan City Hall by the adviser to the mayor of the capital, Anneta Babayan.
It was noted that today the professional working group developing the draft technical specifications will once again discuss all the initiatives based on feedback and proposals for announcing a tender will be presented during the current week. Financial resources for the work on developing the project for the construction of the new station have already been provided for in the city budget for 2025. 400 million drams will be allocated for these purposes.
In this regard, the mayor of Yerevan emphasized the importance of consistent work with partners from the RA government and international structures. This, as Avinyan noted, is very important for assessing the volume of future construction work and its financing. In November of this year, it was reported that the project for the construction of the new, 12th station of the Yerevan metro, Surmalu, had been sent back for revision.
"Preliminary negotiations are underway with international structures on possible financing of the program. At the same time, a public investment project is being developed for submission to the government for consideration," Anneta Babayan reported. It should be noted that at the moment it is not clear where exactly the 12th station of the Surmalu metro will be located. It is assumed that it will be located between the two existing stations, Sasuntsi David and Zoravar Andranik.
