ArmInfo. Just a year ago, the dictator who seized all of Artsakh by force but remained unpunished, today again from a position of strength puts forward unprecedented and absurd demands to Armenia. Former Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Doctor of Law, Professor Gevork Danielyan wrote about this on his Facebook page, commenting on the statements of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in an interview with Dmitry Kiselev.
In the interview, Aliyev stated that 300 thousand Azerbaijanis were ready to return to Armenia.
"In 1989-1992, as the head of the Department for Control over Compliance with Laws in Interethnic Relations of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia, based on archival materials, I report that only 168 thousand Azerbaijanis left Armenia, unlike the Armenians deported from Azerbaijan (not counting the 140 thousand residents of Artsakh), not counting the 150 thousand residents of Artsakh, whose number was three times greater. At the same time, the Azerbaijanis freely sold their houses and property, leaving Armenia," the former minister noted. He added that the President of Azerbaijan is confident that as a result of his actions, no one will appeal to any international judicial body with a claim to hold him accountable, and that this obligation will be secured by an international agreement.
