Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars international  highway closed for transport

ArmInfo.The Embassy of Armenia in Georgia, citing information from the National Agency for Environmental Protection, reports that the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars international highway (towards the border of the Russian Federation) is temporarily closed to all types of vehicles. 

The Embassy notes that the closure of traffic on this section of the road is due to the high risk of avalanches. "According to the  National Agency for Environmental Protection, traffic on the  Stepantsminda- Lars section will be carried out without stops. The movement of cars will be carried out under the direct control and coordination of the Patrol Police of Georgia. Traffic is free on other sections of the highway," the statement says.
