ArmInfo. Non-partisan member of the National Assembly of Armenia Taguhi Tovmasyan appealed to the RA Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan with a demand to initiate a criminal case in connection with the latest publications on social networks of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the RA Prime Minister Taron Chakhoyan.
On her Facebook account, Taguhi Tovmasyan noted that she had become Taron Chakhoyan's target. "Yesterday, I published information that I had contacted my international colleagues regarding the inadmissibility of disseminating the contents of MP Hovik Agazaryan's phone, and now I have become the target of the authorities. I assumed that the authorities did this in anticipation of appropriate action from international structures. In my letter, I especially emphasized that targeted articles about the sexual orientation of MP Hovik Agazaryan were published on websites associated with Deputy Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Taron Chakhoyan. However, after this publication, I became Taron Chakhoyan's target. He not only spread offensive and unfounded claims against me on his social network page, but also published absolutely false material that many years ago I allegedly illegally secretly recorded a speech with Nikol Pashinyan and handed the recording over to Serzh Sargsyan," the MP noted.
She noted that she was not present at any of these meetings, so she could not have illegally recorded the text of the speech. Moreover, Tovmasyan continued, she has not attended the meetings of the My Step and Civil Contract factions since 2019. "Today, I appealed to the RA Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan with a demand to open a case and find out who made the recording and under what conditions? Who participated in the aforementioned meeting and how was this recording transmitted? Question Taron Chakhoyan, demanding that he present the facts, and in the absence of evidence, hold him accountable for spreading lies. I will continue to follow this process and, as always, publicly share the developments and results. Nikol Pashinyan, his fake or fakes cannot attribute to me actions that I did not commit. Let law enforcement agencies figure it out: neither a mouse, nor a fish, nor any other slippery animal will be able to escape," Tovmasyan wrote.
