ArmInfo. The Governor of Armenia's Shirak region Mushegh Muradyan has been dismissed from his post. The region is headed by former deputy of the ruling Civil Contract party David Arushanyan. The decisions were made on December 19 at a government meeting.
It became known on December 12 at a cabinet meeting that Muradyan had submitted an application for dismissal from his post. Meanwhile, the former head of Shirak told journalists a little earlier at the government building that he did not know about his upcoming dismissal. A week earlier, the prime minister reproached him for opening a class named after an active high-ranking military officer in a rural school.
On December 11, ruling Civil Contract party deputy David Arushanyan, whose powers were terminated on December 18, announced his resignation.
