ArmInfo.On December 18, the deputies of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration held a meeting with the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Vassilis Maragos and his deputy, Jan Pleschinger.
As reported by the parliament's press service, the meeting discussed issues related to the development of Armenia-EU relations and enhancing cooperation in various fields. Vassilis Maragos presented the programs implemented in Armenia with the support of the European Union, reforms within the framework of budget support programs, and projects planned for the coming year in the regions of the republic. According to Vassilis Maragos, the past year was successful in terms of deepening Armenia-EU relations. "All goals were met, new achievements were recorded, including the European Peace Facility. The significance of the EU Monitoring Mission activities in Armenia was highlighted," the European diplomat noted. Vassilis Maragos considered the visa liberalization between the RA and the EU an important step for the citizens of the RA. He expressed hope that this process will soon become a reality.
