ArmInfo. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, did not comment on Baku's latest demands to Yerevan for the purpose of signing a peace treaty.
Thus, on December 18, during a weekly briefing to clarify how Moscow treats Azerbaijan's latest demands to Armenia, in particular the start of Yerevan's negotiations with the so-called Western Azerbaijan Community, Zakharova advised clarifying the Armenian side's position on these statements.
"Our position has been stated. One of the elements of the trilateral statements at the highest level is the discussion of the humanitarian block, including such issues as respect for the rights of refugees, the preservation of cultural, historical and religious heritage sites, ensuring free and safe access to them, as well as the search for missing persons, the exchange of prisoners of war and detainees," the Russian diplomat said.
Zakharova recalled that Moscow has repeatedly noted the importance of resuming dialogue between Baku and Yerevan on the entire range of humanitarian issues and is ready to provide assistance if the parties so desire.
