ArmInfo. Representatives of Armenia returned with 5 gold medals from the CIS Delphic Games.
As reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MECS) of Armenia, the first open children's Delphic Games of the CIS countries were held in the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bishkek, from September 30 to October 5, covering eleven categories of classical, national and modern arts.
At the first open children's Delphic Games of the CIS countries, representatives of Armenia competed in various stages of the competition, winning three gold, one silver and one bronze medal, as well as two special prize diplomas.
In addition, from November 22 to 26, the third youth games in the open Arctic region and the eighteenth youth games in Delphi of the CIS member states were held in Syktyvkar, Komi Republic of the Russian Federation, held in ten nominations.
Representatives of Armenia won two gold and two silver medals, as well as two diplomas at the third Open Youth Delphic Games. At the 18th Youth Delphic Games of the CIS countries, the Armenian team showed excellent results, winning three first places and one second place," the MES said in a statement.
At a meeting with the winners of the games, Minister Zhanna Andreasyan thanked the participants for their efforts and the results they achieved. She also noted that the jury included a representative of Armenia, which, according to her, indicates the country's great potential in this area.
The Delphic Games are complex competitions in the disciplines of artistic, applied and scientific research creativity. Currently, competitions are held in 54 nominations. The official date and birthplace of the Games is considered to be 582 BC, Greece. Along with the Olympic Games, the Delphic (formerly Pythian) Games were banned more than 1,600 years ago and were revived only at the beginning of the 20th century.
