Armenia`s authorities turning country into state of `exceptional`  events - opposition MP

There is no other  country in the world, except for Armenia, whose leadership, taking  into account the geographical location of the state, the unhealthy  ambitions of its neighbors and constant security threats, would  attack its own army. This was written on his Facebook page by Tigran  Abrahamyan, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of  Armenia from the opposition faction with Honor.

As an example, the deputy cited the situation in the armed forces of  the Russian Federation.  Abrahamyan noted that over the past year,  dozens of high-ranking military personnel have been removed from  their posts in Russia, and criminal cases have been initiated against  many, including deputy ministers and heads of departments, under  various articles (mainly under articles on corruption crimes).  However, during this period, neither the President of the Russian  Federation nor other figures of the political elite have cast a  "shadow" on their own army, discrediting and showing disrespect for  it. Moreover, the deputy continued, none of them even thought to  declare the army a secondary institution and remind it that it is  indebted to taxpayers, so the hero is the taxpayer, and not the  people who have chosen the defense of the Motherland as a profession. 

"And what do we have in Armenia? The person who has assumed  leadership of the country, both ideologically and politically and  propaganda attacks his own army. These authorities are trying to turn  our country into a state of "exceptional" events, but not in terms of  improving the country's image, ensuring public solidarity, increasing  the level of security and the inviolability of borders, but in terms  of a chain of defeats and losses, moral decline with all the ensuing  components," the oppositionist noted.
