On December 11, RA Deputy Minister of Justice Tigran Dadunts received a delegation led by Constantinos Efstathiou, the PACE Rapporteur on the execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. This information was reported by the press service of the RA Ministry of Justice. According to the report, the meeting emphasized the importance of implementing ECHR decisions and ongoing proceedings in the European Court. These proceedings involve claims of Armenian citizens against the Republic of Armenia, as well as cases that were terminated during 2024.
The Deputy Minister mentioned that there are 76 proceedings, with 5 of them being considered on an expedited basis. At the request of the guests, Tigran Dadunts spoke in detail about the ongoing and terminated proceedings. He pointed out that the decisions of the
ECHR are of great importance for Armenia, as they contribute to enhancing legislation and practices. Dadunts stressed that the current priority is to comply with republic's international obligations, as outlined in the European Convention on Human Rights by executing the decisions of the European Court.
