ArmInfo. Armenia has made additional steps to prevent corruption among MPs and judiciary. This is stated in the new report of the Council of Europe Group of States against Corruption (GRECO). According to the report, the provisions of which are presented on the website of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, out of the 18 recommendations included by GRECO in the assessment report " Corruption Prevention in respect of MPs, Judges and Prosecutors", 12 recommendations have been implemented satisfactorily, and six remain partly implemented.
In particular, GRECO states that a Code of Conduct for MPs is yet to be adopted. At the same time, the Supreme Judicial Council operates at the legislative level. However, the mechanism for appealing decisions on disciplinary cases of judges has not yet been ensured. GRECO also stressed that the Armenian authorities may later inform GRECO of further developments in the implementation of the outstanding recommendations. With the adoption of the report, the Republic of Armenia completes the 4th stage of GRECO monitoring.
