RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan made this statement on December 11 during the presentation of credentials to the head of state by the newly appointed Austrian Ambassador to Armenia Robert Gerschner (residence Tbilisi). According to him, Armenian-Austrian relations have recently become more intense. "I would also like to thank Austria and the Austrian authorities for the support they have provided to Armenia," the president said.
The newly appointed ambassador, in turn, noted that relations between the two countries have been friendly since 1992. "And, as you noted, there has been additional positive and positive dynamics in recent years," the diplomat said. During the meeting, the close cooperation between the two countries was highlighted, both in bilateral and EU contexts. The important role and impact of the Austrian Development Agency's activities in Armenia were emphasized. The interlocutors pointed out the importance of enhancing political, economic, educational and cultural cooperation. They also praised the effective contacts and mutual visits between the countries at various levels, which are a new impetus for strengthening effective cooperation in various fields.
