ArmInfo.On December 10, members of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, accompanied by the Chairman of the Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly of Armenia Vladimir Vardanyan, visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to the Victims of the Genocide.
As reported by the press service of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, the guests laid flowers at the eternal flame, honoring the memory of the victims of the Genocide.
The Council of Europe recognized the Armenian Genocide in 1998 and 2001, and the European Parliament in 1987, 2000, 2002 and 2005. Meanwhile, on October 31 of this year, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that international recognition of this fact is no longer a priority on Armenia's foreign policy agenda.
