On the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Slovakia, Ararat Mirzoyan and Juraj Blanar, discussed the possibilities of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing their willingness to give new impetus to cooperation in various directions through high-level mutual visits.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Mirzoyan and Blanar exchanged views on the EU enlargement process. The active dynamics of discussions on the formation of a new agenda for the Armenia-EU Partnership were noted with satisfaction, and their main components, including dialogue on political and security matters, were touched upon.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Slovakia discussed regional issues. Mirzoyan presented in detail the work towards normalization of relations with neighbors and establishment of stable peace in the South Caucasus. Referring to the progress made in the delimitation of the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Minister Mirzoyan stressed the importance of signing a peace treaty in the shortest possible timeframe. As an important guarantee for the effective implementation of the peace agenda, the issue of unblocking regional communications and the concept of "Crossroads of Peace" developed by the RA government were touched upon.
