ArmInfo. The head of the Armenian MFA Ararat Mirzoyan continues bilateral talks within the framework of his working visit to Malta for the OSCE Ministerial Council.
According to the RA MFA, Mirzoyan had a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon. The interlocutors exchanged views on regional developments. In the context of establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus, Mirzoyan presented the latest developments in the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Regarding the concluding of the peace treaty, Mirzoyan noted that if political will is demonstrated, it can be finalized and signed promptly.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Tanja Fajon also discussed issues of deepening cooperation between Armenia and the EU and cooperation in frameworks of the OSCE. In the context of expanding the bilateral agenda between Armenia and Slovenia, Foreign Ministers of the two countries touched upon the recent steps, opportunities and the organization of mutual visits next year to further promote the political dialogue and cooperation.
The Armenian Foreign Minister also held a meeting with the Secretary of the Holy See for Relations with States and International Organizations, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher. During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues of cooperation between Armenia and the Vatican. Ararat Mirzoyan and Paul Richard Gallagher discussed efforts to establish stability and peace in the South Caucasus. Mirzoyan spoke about the historic opportunity to achieve peace in the region and Armenia's clearly expressed political will not to miss it. Humanitarian issues, as well as the protection of cultural heritage, were also addressed.
