ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan participated in the Summit of GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance, in Bali. During the event, participants discussed the approval of the strategy for 2026-2030, which is aimed at achieving global goals, solving key issues such as execution of immunization programs and strengthening health care systems, and ensuring global access to vaccines.
As stated by the Ministry of Health, the summit is important for middle-income countries, including Armenia, in terms of utilizing GAVI assistance and gaining access to new vaccines. According to the source, during the visit, Avanesyan also held meetings with Indonesian Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin and other health ministers from GAVI member and donor countries. They discussed immunization programs and the importance of including middle-income countries in the Alliance's initiatives.
