ArmInfo. Armenia has joined the Freedom Online Coalition (FOC). As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the exchange of documents required for membership in the Coalition took place during the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and the Netherlands in The Hague, given the current chairmanship of the Netherlands on the platform. In this regard, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan wrote in his Twitter microblog (X) that FOC membership is another milestone manifesting Armenia's steadfast commitment to advancing fundamental freedoms and human rights based approach, including on digital platforms.
Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp has welcomed Armenia's step in his X microblog and stressed: "We are also delighted that Armenia joined the Freedom Online Coalition during our chairmanship. This reflects Armenia's strong commitment to promoting and protecting human rights online."
