Aleppo Armenian community, RA Consulate Genral working to ensure  Armenians`survival 

ArmInfo.  The Armenian community of Aleppo, in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia, is carrying out important work to meet the needs  of the community and promote its security and survival.

As reported by the community newspaper "Gandzasar", the Consul  General of Armenia in Aleppo continues his work from Damascus.

"After the intensification of clashes in Aleppo, when the city came  under the control of the opposition, the community learned that even  before the clashes began, the Armenian humanitarian group and the  Consul General of Armenia in Aleppo left the city. The responsible  bodies of the community were not informed about their departure, and  this step caused them concern. After we expressed our concerns in the  press, the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Aleppo  contacted the representatives of the community and said that before  the clashes began, he had already left for Damascus to submit his  credentials, after which the road to Aleppo was closed, the Consul  General of the Republic of Armenia continues his work from Damascus,"  the newspaper writes.

As previously reported by the media, citing the Syrian Defense  Ministry, the Syrian government army entered into battle with  terrorists who attacked the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib at the end  of last week.  Violating the de-escalation agreement, groups  belonging to the terrorist organization Hayat Tahrir al-Sham  (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) attacked villages, settlements and  military positions on a wide front in the provinces of Aleppo and  Idlib. According to the Syrian Defense Ministry, the army responded  to the attack, as a result of which the terrorists suffered losses in  manpower and equipment. On Saturday, the command of the Syrian Armed  Forces said that dozens of Syrian soldiers were killed in combat  operations against terrorist groups in the provinces of Aleppo and  Idlib, the army carried out a redeployment in order to save the lives  of civilians and soldiers and prepare for a counteroffensive. The  Syrian army reported that terrorists have penetrated into many areas  of the Syrian city of Aleppo, the Syrian armed forces continue to  strike their positions and are waiting for reinforcements to arrive.
