The Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia has granted the Prosecutor General's Office's petition and invalidated the purchase-sale agreement between the Ministry of Defense and citizen E.A. on January 13, 2009, for approximately 60 million, the press service of the supervisory authority reports.
On April 28, 2023, the Department for the Protection of State Interests of the Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit with the Anti-Corruption Court demanding that the fore-mentioned agreement regarding the alienation of the territory of the military unit , which includes an area of 2,200 square meters, several buildings and a special-purpose land plot spanning 1.2 hectares, be declared invalid. The settlement agreement signed between the Prosecutor General's Office and E.A. was approved on September 12, 2023, by the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court. As a result, the special-purpose land with an area of 9,000 square meters, located at , along with a plot and buildings totaling of 993.7 square meters(in the village of Armash, Ararat region, were returned to the state. In January 2024, they were assigned to the State Property Management Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
