ArmInfo.Academician Ruben Safrastyan's scientific monograph "The Ottoman Empire: Programs of Genocide" was published in Moscow. The book was presented as part of the DIALOGUE Book Series (founder - socio- political figure, political scientist Yuri Navoyan). The publication of the book, which was recommended by the Academic Council of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, was facilitated by philanthropist Mher Avetisyan.
Safrastyan's book "The Ottoman Empire: Programs of Genocide" examines the factors that contributed to the genesis of the genocide program in the Ottoman Empire. It also provides a detailed analyzes of the genocide programs themselves, drawing from modern genocide studies. The first program, approved by the Ottoman government in 1876, was directed against the Bulgarian people, but was never carried out, since Russia liberated Bulgaria. The monograph extensively examines the genocide program of 1915, aimed at eradicating the Armenian population of the Ottoman Empire, which was executed. The book heavily relies on primary sources, particularly the abundant resources found in Russian archives. .
