


ArmInfo. On November 28, the Armenian government announced a decision to prohinit the use of passenger and cargo vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons without winter tires from November 15 to March 31.
The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, David Khudatyan, clarified that winter tires must have a minimum tread of 4 mm on snowy or icy roads. The use of cars with studded tires in the summer will also be banned. Violators will face a fine of 5,000 drams for driving without winter, and 20,000 drams if their veficle is involved in an accident. The Cabinet's decision will be effective from December 10.
