An event celebrating the 100th anniversary of Parajanov and the 125th  anniversary of Kochar held at the Pompidou Center in Paris

ArmInfo.  An event was held  at the Pompidou Center in Paris dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great director, screenwriter, artist, and collage  artist Sergei Parajanov, as well as the 125th anniversary of the  outstanding painter and sculptor Yervand Kochar.  In relation to the  events, two works by Kochar were exhibited at the Pompidou Center -  "Eastern Women" (1926) and one of the works associated with the  "Spatial Painting" movement (1934), which are both part of the  Center's collection.

During the event, the President of the Pompidou Center, Laurent Le  Bon, and the Ambassador of Armenia to France, Arman Khachatryan,  delivered welcoming remarks. Following this, a conference-discussion  was held with the participation of director Patrick Cazal, historian  and film critic Antoine de Baecque, actor Serge Avetikyan and other  specialists in the field.
