ArmInfo.Vardan Oskanyan, the Coordinator of the Committee for the Protection of the Fundamental Rights of the People of Artsakh, presented the progress of work towards securing the right of Artsakh Armenians to return during an online meeting initiated by the "Europeans for Artsakh" movement. The meeting included responsible persons from the representative bodies of the Diaspora and employees of the European Office of "Hay Dat" of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the issue of Armenian authorities' lack of active actions on this matter. They emphasized the importance of mobilizing pan-Armenian forces to ensure the right of return and shared the efforts being made to protect the interests of the Artsakh people in their respective countries. Additionally, they highlighted the need to protect the historical, cultural and religious heritage of Artsakh, as it is crucial for the realization of the right to return.
After the meeting, the parties decided to convene another meeting to discuss the issues and proposals received from Diaspora countries regarding the implementation of the right of Artsakh Armenians to return. As noted in the movement's statement, representatives from England, Germany, Cyprus, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Bulgaria and France attended the meeting.
