Armenia`s ranking in Numbeo 2024 safety index slightly decreased

ArmInfo. Armenia's ranking in the Numbeo 2024 safety index for the safest countries in the world has slightly decreased. The latest rating places Armenia in 8th place position globally, a drop from its 7th place ranking last year.  Nevertheless, Armenia has the highest ranking among the countries in the region. For example, Georgia is ranked 20th place, Azerbaijan is 33rd, Russia is 51st, Turkey - in 53rd, and Iran is 90th.

The rating includes a total of 146 countries, only those with a  population exceeding 1 million. Andorra ranks first in terms of  safety, followed by the UAE and Qatar. The lowest ranking countries  are Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea and Venezuela.
