ArmInfo. On November 23, at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California, federal, regional and state leaders of the Hay Dat Committee of America, as well as representatives of organizations operating within this system, discussed the political priorities and key areas of the Committee's work after the 2024 elections.
As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the Hay Dat Central Bureau of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun, the main attention was paid to strategic areas of interaction with the White House administration and congressmen, especially with those who enjoyed the support of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) during the elections. About 90% of these candidates successfully completed the election campaign.
"These include curbing the anti-Armenian aggression renewed by Azerbaijan and Turkey, realizing the right of the Armenians of Artsakh to return, releasing illegally detained Armenian prisoners of war and the military-political leadership of Artsakh, providing humanitarian aid to Armenian refugees, applying sanctions against Azerbaijan and holding the Aliyev regime accountable for the ethnic cleansing carried out in Artsakh," the statement reads.
In particular, the importance of complying with Resolution 907 of the Freedom Assistance Act, eliminating US military aid to Azerbaijan, applying "global Magnitsky sanctions" against Azerbaijani war criminals, conducting a US investigation into war crimes committed by Azerbaijan, increasing humanitarian aid to Armenia, and ensuring an adequate US response to the appalling human rights situation in Azerbaijan was emphasized. In addition, representatives of the Armenian Legal Center, operating within the Hay Dat system, presented in detail the necessary measures to implement the right of the Armenians of Artsakh to return safely and with dignity.
In his opening remarks at the conference, Hay Dat of America Chairman Raffi Hamparian noted that the support of the Armenian National Committee leaders by powerful community structures in all 50 states makes them stronger. "We have come together as a second army of the Armenian people, drawing on our collective strength and strategic vision to address the difficult challenges and real opportunities we see in Washington. Hay Dat leaders across the United States represent the best of us. They have bold vision, deep commitment, political philosophy, and real skills to influence decision makers in Washington," Hamparian said.
According to the source, the conference also discussed issues of the wide use of modern media to protect Armenian interests. After the public reports, the conference continued in a closed format to summarize the strategic direction of the Hay Dat Commission of America.
