ArmInfo. During its presidency of the EU Council, Poland will take all necessary steps to bring Armenia closer to the European Union. This was stated by the head of the Polish state Andrzej Duda at a joint press conference with the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan on November 26.
He noted that in case of interest from Yerevan on a whole range of issues, Warsaw is ready to provide its assistance in this. "We are ready to provide any assistance in any case," the Polish president said, adding that in this case we are talking about the start of negotiations on the liberalization of the visa regime between
Armenia and the EU. Duda pointed out the fact that decisions in the EU are made on the basis of consensus, but in any case, Yerevan can count on Warsaw's support.
From January 1, 2025, Poland will preside over the EU Council.
