Yerevan to host 5th Global Forum Against the Crime of Genocide in  December

ArmInfo. The 5th Global Forum Against the Crime of Genocide will be held in Yerevan, on December 12-13.  As reported by the press service of the Global  Forum, this year the event will be held under the motto  "Strengthening the effectiveness of international mechanisms for  early warning and early response to the risk of genocide and other  atrocity crimes".

The forum will explore the challenges of identification of risk  factors and timely response to them.  The discussions will also focus  on the ways of enhancing the effectiveness of international  mechanisms, as well as improve operational and policy coherence.   Armenia is the initiator and organizer of the global forums Against  the Crime of Genocide, which were held in Yerevan in 2015, 2016, 2018  and 2022.

Armenia continues to cooperate with the Global Action Initiative for  the Prevention of Mass Atrocity Crimes (GAAMAC) and other  international platforms  which have this issue within their scope of  responsibility.
