ICRC office in Armenia has a new head

ArmInfo. Newly appointed head of the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation in Armenia Daphnee Maret presented copies of her credentials to Vahan  Kostanyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia.  As  reported by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry,  during the meeting, Kostanyan expressed hope that the ICRC will  continue to actively participate in solving humanitarian issues in  Armenia and supporting vulnerable groups of the population.

The meeting covered issues including regular visits by ICRC officials  to Armenian prisoners of war and other persons detained in  Azerbaijan, clarification of the fate of missing and forcibly  disappeared persons, and other humanitarian issues.  Maret expressed  her readiness to make every effort within her authority to maintain  close cooperation with the Armenian side.
