ArmInfo. Newly appointed Permanent Representative of Armenia to the CoE Armen Papikyan presented his credentials to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Bercy.
As reported by the press service of the Permanent Mission of Armenia to the CoE, during a private conversation after the presentation of his credentials, Papikyan reaffirmed the commitment of the Armenian government to expanding and deepening the cooperation agenda with the CoE.
The Permanent Representative stressed the importance of implementing the CoE-Armenia Action Plan for 2023-2026 and the Council of Europe's assistance to democratic reforms, ensuring the rule of law and protecting human rights.
In the context of issues related to regional security, Papikyan noted that Armenia is making constant efforts to establish peace and stability in the South Caucasus, as well as to strengthen trust, and stressed the need for the support and active participation of international partners in this matter.
Bers wished him fruitful work to further strengthen and develop strong ties between the Council of Europe and Armenia.
