ArmInfo. The Armenian delegation headed by the Governor of Syunik region Robert Ghukasyan is taking part in the two-day events "Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes - Armenia-Syunik Friendship Day" in Lyon, France.
As reported by the press service of the Syunik regional administration, the visit is taking place within the framework of the memorandum of friendship and cooperation signed between the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region and Syunik. The first working meeting was held at the Consulate General of Armenia in Lyon.
The Armenian delegation included Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Vache Terteryan, Director General of the Investment Support Center Foundation Levon Hovhannisyan, members of the Governor's Office, and heads of six regional communities.
The events are organized on the initiative of the former head of the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region Laurent Wauquiez and with the support of the RA Embassy in France and the RA Consulate General in Lyon, at the headquarters of the regional council. The cycle includes official events aimed at expanding the close ties between Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes - Armenia-Syunik. They consist of four components - economic, political, decentralized cooperation and cultural.
