Sargsyan was appointed Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs in January 2022. Before that, she held the post of Deputy Minister of Justice.
After that, a number of officials resigned, including the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan. On November 19, the President of Armenia signed a decree dismissing Ghazaryan from his post.
