ArmInfo. The negligence of the capital's authorities caused a halt in the operations of the Consular Service at the Polish Embassy in Armenia. On November 8 of this year, the Polish Embassy in Armenia issued a statement notifying that construction work near the embassy building posed a threat to citizens' lives and safety, due to which the Consular Section of the diplomatic mission was temporarily suspending its activities.
Twelve days after this notification, apparently having lost hope of resolving this issue, the Polish Embassy issued another statement in which it notified that the problem remains unresolved and the Consular Service is still unable to resume its work. "The Embassy immediately informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia about the above-mentioned event, at the same time requested that the relevant state bodies or institutions of the Republic of Armenia take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of the consular office visitors. Until the authorities of the Republic of Armenia respond to this matter and adequate measures are taken to ensure the office's security, regular appointments will not resume," the Embassy reported. The diplomatic mission also noted that in case of urgent need to obtain visas for Switzerland, citizens should contact the Swiss Embassy in Tbilisi.
