Valentina Matviyenko plans to visit Armenia

ArmInfo. The Chairperson of the Russian Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, is planning to visit Armenia next year. Yuri Vorobyov, Deputy Chairperson of the  chamber and co-chairman of the Armenian-Russian interparliamentary  commission, told journalists in Yerevan.  

"We are expecting a meeting next year with the Chairperson of the Federation Council Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko, here in Armenia. She has already received an  invitation. We are currently preparing for her visit and hope that it  will coincide with the interregional forum, which is held once every  two years. Our cooperation is active and I am confident that we will  be able to resolve all issues," he said, as reported by TASS.

According to him, Matviyenko's visit is expected "in the first or  early second quarter of next year." Vorobyov also mentioned that the  next meeting of the interparliamentary commission of Armenia and the  Russian Federation will take place in Sochi and will be focus on the  80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
