A U.S. Senator defends the Armenians` right to return to  Nagorno-Karabakh during a COP29 press conference in Baku

ArmInfo. US Senator Ed Markey, called for Azerbaijan's release of political prisoners and  asserted the right of return of Nagorno-Karabakh's ethnically  cleansed Armenians during a COP29 press conference in Baku, as  reported by ANCA's press service.

"We believe that political prisoners should be released. We believe  that Armenians should have the right to return to Nagorno-Karabakh,"  he noted.

We should add that on November 16, Congressman Frank Pallone, a  member of the Armenian Friendship Caucus in the US Congress, also  arrived in Baku. The congressman was attacked by so-called activists,  who first booed him, then staged a protest in front of the hotel  where he was staying. After a "warm" reception in Baku, Pallone left  Azerbaijan on November 17.
